Our Philosophy of Practice
Policy & Systems
System Description:
For patients to choose a dental office appropriate to their needs there must exist a match between the services sought by the patient with the services provided by the office. If the value a patient possesses for their teeth and health coincides with our beliefs in fi ne dentistry and prevention, a mutually rewarding relationship should evolve for both parties. Our philosophy of practice is derived from this idea.
Our Philosophy of Practice
Briefly stated our philosophy of practice is this….
“Our goal is to help you receive the highest quality oral health care, enabling you to keep your teeth for the rest of your life in maximum health, comfort, function, and appearance at a minimum of stress, discomfort and expense. “
We want to attract and keep people who share our values and beliefs in excellence and prevention. We are always looking for patients such as you who value high quality, individualized care.
We want to build mutually beneficial relationships based on trust. By building these relationships, we hope to impart to you the knowledge and skills to help you keep your natural teeth for a lifetime. In our practice, we believe that each patient has the right to choose the level of oral health that they desire – knowing it will not be the same for every person.
The foundation of excellence in dentistry is the examination. We believe this process should allow us both to discover the present level of your oral health through careful diagnosis. Together, we will establish a plan for treatment that will move us towards the goals that you desire for your own health. We will perform an extensive examination of the teeth, gums, bite, jaw joints, and soft tissues. With your permission, appropriate x-rays, intraoral photographs and study models of your teeth and jaws will be taken to identify areas of concern.
Once the diagnostic records are complete, we will provide you with a written review of our findings. We will discuss with you the results of these findings and talk with you about your personal goals, in regards to your oral health.
Based on goals that you and our team establish together, we will create a long-term Master Plan for your oral health. We believe this in-depth examination and future planning to be the cornerstone of quality dentistry.

Our Dental Practice
We believe our practice is unique and different from most. Not simply because of the pleasant surroundings nor because of the highly skilled professional staff, nor even because of the high quality technical work we do.
Our practice is different because our mission is different. Few of our patients have experienced the type of care we offer. We believe this because we have a specific mission to which we are wholly committed. We believe each person who comes to us for care should be treated with dignity and respect. We see people on an individual basis; each clinician treats one person at a time. We refuse to be too busy to care for each individual and take the time to do every procedure to the best of our ability.
We strive for clear, effective communication with our patients in all aspects of their experience with us. Our goal is absolute clarity regarding a patient’s oral health, treatment, financial arrangements and their long-term prognosis for oral health.
We constantly look to improve our skills and knowledge. The people who come to us for care can be certain that they will receive the most technologically advanced and evidence based dentistry available. Also, they can be sure we will only do the best work we are capable of, and that all will be complete and thorough.
For people to choose a dental practice appropriate to their needs there must be a match between the services sought by the patient and the type of care provided by the dental practice. If the value you possess for your teeth and health coincides with our beliefs in fi ne dentistry and prevention, a mutually beneficial, long-term relationship can evolve. These are the types of relationships we have and maintain with our patients.
Philosophically, dentists choose their philosophy of practice, either quantity (do a little for a lot of people) or relationship based quality (optimal care for those who have chosen to partner with us in their health). We want to attract and keep patients who share our values and beliefs in excellence, or can grow to this level of appreciation through enlightenment about the condition of their oral health and motivation to seek and maintain health. We highly value our patient population dominated by people with high expectations of good health and happiness.
